Vision Request was a one day group show at A-Z West in Joshua Tree, CA.

“Untitled sculpture” was designed and constructed in New York City to fit within a standard United States Post Office Priority Mail box, a cardboard container that is available for free for U.S.A. domestic shipping.

The package was shipped to the site in advance of the show. The sculpture was installed on-site on the day of the show.

The bright, sandy, desert environment was crucial to the perception of this object. The sun reflecting off sand created a glare that at times made it impossible to see the 3rd dimension of the black line elements.
